Horizon AI is built with privacy in mind. The app does not require an account, does not track you, and does not sell your data. Below is a complete and transparent description of how your information is handled.
Goal and Task Content When you generate a roadmap, the goal description you enter is sent to an AI provider (Anthropic Claude or OpenAI GPT, depending on your selected model) to generate your personalized plan. This content is transmitted securely via our backend solely for the purpose of generating your roadmap. We do not store your goal content on our servers beyond what is required to complete the request.
If you select Apple Intelligence as your AI model, your goal is processed entirely on your device — nothing is sent to any server.
Device Identifier A random device identifier is stored in your device's Keychain. This identifier is used solely to validate promo code redemptions and prevent duplicate use. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
Credit Balance Your points balance is stored on-device and in your Keychain to survive app deletion and reinstallation. This data never leaves your device except as part of iCloud sync (see below).
Your goals, roadmaps, tasks, milestones, and settings sync across your Apple devices via iCloud CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
When you use Claude or GPT models, your goal description is sent to our secure backend which forwards the request to Anthropic or OpenAI. We use these services solely to generate your roadmap. No personal identifying information is sent — only the goal text you enter.
All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see, receive, or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address.
